“Time Eater Tourbillon: Where Playfulness Meets Precision”

July 16th 2025

A Fresh Collaboration: Time Eater Evolves
Swiss brand Louis Erard and Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin reunite to unveil a striking twist on their playful “Time Eater” series. Departing from regulator-only layouts, the new model introduces a 60‑second tourbillon artfully embedded within the monster’s toothy mouth, like a mechanical tongue spinning among fangs.

Regulator Display Meets Tourbillon Drama
The dial retains its signature regulator style: a rotating eyeball at 12 o’clock for hours, a central minutes hand, and the tourbillon seconds at 6 o’clock. Chaykin’s whimsical “monster” face adds personality, with the red-tourbillon cage doubling as a cheeky tongue—a bold fusion of fun and haute horology.

Two Limited Variants
Available in two colorways—green and blue—each is exclusive to one partner. The green version (Louis Erard, ref. 89241AA90) features a green minute ring, black toad‑leather strap with green stitching, and is limited to 78 pieces. The blue variant (Chaykin, ref. 89241AA91) includes a blue minute track and black calfstrap, limited to 28 units.

Technical Highlights & Specs
Housed in a polished stainless‑steel case measuring 42 mm × 12.3 mm (lug‑to‑lug ~49.6 mm), it has a domed sapphire crystal and 50 m water resistance. Powered by the manual‑wound BCP T02 tourbillon movement, running at 21,600 vph with a robust 100‑hour power reserve and visible via display back.

Positioning & Price
With a retail price of CHF 19,900 (~USD 25,000), the Time Eater Tourbillon elevates the playful Wristmons concept into serious watchmaking territory—yet it remains humorous, hinting at the absurd. It costs nearly four times more than the basic regulator versions, tapping into the niche of accessible mechanical art.
