Introducing a One‑of‑a‑Kind Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin’s Les Cabinotiers Temporis Duo makes a stunning entrance, showcasing dual dials that blend elegance and complication. As a unique piece (pièce unique), it’s crafted to astound collectors, rather than enter production lines.

Dual‑Face Design & Materials
Set in a white‑gold 45 mm case with a sapphire crystal over both faces, the Temporis Duo reveals its complex heart on each side. One dial presents a traditional time display, while the reversed side exposes a split‑seconds chronograph and astronomical indicators. Despite its wealth of functions, the case remains relatively slim, under 15 mm.

Multiple Time Zones & Perpetual Calendar
The watch houses three distinct timekeeping systems—civil, solar, and sidereal—each with a dedicated gear train. A perpetual calendar, complete with a tide‑range chart and a GMT/world‑time display, complements the trio.

Astronomical & Chronograph Mastery
Astronomical displays include solar positioning (elevation, culmination, declination), sunrise/sunset times, and zodiac/constellation tracking. The split‑seconds chronograph on the reverse allows timing of celestial bodies as they cross the sky.
Minute Repeater & Musical Complexity
The watch is also a Westminster‑style minute repeater, featuring four gongs and hammers with patented sound segmentation for hours‑only or full chiming modes. A sliding selector enables four chiming modes: full, hours‑only, silent, and night silence.
Movement & Finishing
Driving this masterpiece is the in‑house Calibre 3655, packed with 1,521 components—including a tourbillon—and offering around 72 hours of reserve. It took eight years to develop, with finishing techniques ranging from bevels and sandblasting to satin‑brushing (“brouillage”).
An Astronomical Statement, Not a Commercial Model
Priced outside typical market conversation, the Temporis Duo is a demonstration of haute horlogerie craftsmanship and technical audacity—not a watch you can order off a website. For Vacheron, it’s another way to push boundaries by crafting not only a timepiece, but a capsule of human ingenuity.
