At Watches and Wonders 2025, Bulgari once again pushed the boundaries of watchmaking with the launch of the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon — now officially the thinnest tourbillon watch ever made. Measuring a jaw-dropping 1.85mm thick (that includes the case, movement, and crystal!), it’s thinner than a nickel and a testament to radical innovation.
This marks Bulgari’s 10th world record in ultra-thin watchmaking, continuing a streak that began in 2014. The journey started with the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon and has since included milestones like the world’s thinnest minute repeater, chronograph, and certified chronometer.
Despite its ultra-slim dimensions, the Ultra Tourbillon feels anything but fragile. Crafted in microbead-blasted titanium, it wears like a sleek cuff, with a flat, architectural profile and a bracelet just 1.5mm thick — including the clasp. Inside, the manual-winding BVF 900 movement beats at 4Hz with a 42-hour power reserve. The design is fully skeletonized, allowing the intricate mechanics to shine through.
Even the crowns are reimagined: stainless steel wheels embedded flush with the case edge at 3 and 8 o’clock. And the ticking tourbillon? Audibly alive — like a mechanical heartbeat you can feel.
Limited to just 20 pieces and priced at $678,000, the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon isn’t just a watch — it’s a statement of what’s possible in horology.
