Raymond Weil has partnered with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat to create a special edition Freelancer chronograph featuring the artist’s neo-expressionist work. The watch is a celebration of Basquiat’s creativity and his unique perspective on the world.
The watch features a 43.5mm titanium case with a black ceramic tachymeter bezel. The dial is a vibrant canvas of Basquiat’s most iconic imagery, including his crown symbol, Pez Dispenser dinosaur, and running seconds subdial with intersecting lines and a cutout spiral. The chronograph seconds hand and pulsations scale are also color-treated.
The watch is powered by the RW5030 movement, which is a rebranded Sellita Sw510 BH with a custom rotor. The movement has a 28,800 vph beat rate and a 56-hour power reserve. The chronograph features a column wheel mechanism.
The watch comes on a fitted black leather strap with a branded deployant buckle.
The Raymond Weil X Basquiat™ Freelancer Special Edition is priced at $4,495 USD.
