Technical Analysis: Brellum Pandial Power Reserve Chronometer LE (Ref. DB.CH.955) – Chronograph Architecture and Power Reserve Integration

October 6, 2026

The Brellum Pandial Power Reserve Chronometer LE (ref. DB.CH.955) builds on the brand’s flagship Pandial Chronograph by adding a dedicated power reserve indicator to an already dense chronograph layout. It comes from Sebastien Muller’s independent Swiss workshop, which caps total output at 299 watches per year. This reference is limited to 33 individually numbered pieces, and each one is a COSC-certified chronometer.

Case Architecture and Dimensional Analysis

The case measures 43mm in diameter and 15.9mm in total height, a figure that needs context. Box-shaped sapphire crystals on both the dial side and the caseback account for much of that height. The case middle itself is only 11.7mm thick. As a result, the watch should wear slimmer than the headline number suggests while keeping the optical depth of the domed crystals.

The multi-level black dial carries four registers. The extra subdial at 3 o’clock serves as the power reserve gauge and balances the layout. Applied hour markers with Super-LumiNova accents provide legibility, and a red central seconds hand matches the red graduations on the reserve scale.

Caliber BR-750RM: Valjoux 7750 Lineage and Chronometric Performance

Caliber BR-750RM is visible through the screw-on display caseback. It is built on the Valjoux 7750, an automatic chronograph architecture known for robustness and ease of servicing. The movement runs at 4Hz (28,800 vph) and holds a 46-hour power reserve.

Its functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, a 12-hour chronograph, and the power reserve indicator. A telemeter scale around the dial periphery and a tachymeter scale on the bezel allow distance and speed calculations. Finishing includes perlage, Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a skeletonized rotor engraved with each watch’s edition number.

Materials, Sealing, and Long-Term Durability

The case is made from 316L stainless steel, an alloy valued for its corrosion resistance. The bezel, the most exposed component, carries a black DLC coating that adds surface hardness and scratch resistance. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, and Brellum tests every watch individually rather than relying on batch sampling. The five-link stainless steel bracelet alternates brushed and polished surfaces.

Technical Verdict

The DB.CH.955 is priced at CHF 3,390 (approximately $3,780 USD). For that, it combines chronometer certification, a proven base caliber, full movement decoration, and individually tested water resistance in a 33-piece run. It is a technically coherent package for enthusiasts who judge a watch by measurable specifications.
