For a decade and a half, DWISS has consistently challenged horological norms, rejecting conventional time-telling and conservative design. Founded in 2011 by designer Rafael Simoes Miranda, the Logano, Switzerland-based brand has garnered an impressive 34 international design awards by adhering to a core philosophy of constant innovation. Reviving a Historic Complication
The S1 masterfully reinterprets the wandering hours complication, a mechanism with roots stretching back to 1956 when it was invented by the Campani brothers for a papal night-clock. After centuries of obscurity, the complication was famously revived by Audemars Piguet in 1991. While many versions can appear cluttered, the DWISS S1 presents an exceptionally clean and minimalist dial. Minutes are marked along an upper arc, and a satellite hour numeral sweeps beneath it, pointing to the current minute. DWISS likens this graceful sweep to the movement of stars across the sky, a theme enhanced by the perpetually rotating seconds disc at the dial’s center, which evokes the Moon’s orbit.
Celestial Inspiration and Meticulous Craftsmanship
The two new colorways draw from this cosmic inspiration. The Orange edition features a rich gradient dial reminiscent of both NASA’s iconic astronaut suits and the hue of cool stars like Betelgeuse. In contrast, the Silver edition offers a raw, metallic beauty with circular brushing that echoes the orbital theme. Housing the display is a brand-new stainless steel cushion case, sized at a versatile 40mm in diameter with a 44mm lug-to-lug distance. It showcases a sophisticated interplay of finishes, from sandblasted surfaces to brushed lugs and a polished bezel, and is rated for 100m of water resistance. Each model is paired with a color-matched CTS Delugs FKM rubber strap.

Powering this intricate display is a Swiss La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné automatic movement, expertly modified in-house by DWISS. This high-performance caliber provides a substantial 68-hour power reserve and operates at 28.8kbph, making it a reliable choice for discerning independent brands. After an exclusive presale for its community members, the DWISS S1 15th Anniversary Editions are now available to all watch enthusiasts.
