Bremont’s Jumping Hour Revival: A Comeback in Style

April 8th 2025

Let’s pretend the turbulence of 2024 didn’t happen for Bremont. Fast forward to today, and the British brand has just released two impressive jumping hour watches that prove it might be more in tune with modern trends than many expected.

The Jumping Hour Surge

Jumping hour watches have recently gained traction again, thanks to brands like Fears and Zentier. Now, Bremont joins the fold with the Terra Nova Jumping Hour Bronze and Terra Nova 40.5 Jumping Hour—two designs that blend vintage inspiration with modern execution.

A Tale of Two Cases

Bremont’s Terra Nova case may have received flak during the rebrand, but it’s found its footing. The Bronze version measures 38mm, while the 904L stainless steel 40.5 is slightly larger. Both watches come with Bremont’s quick-release bracelet or optional leather strap and feature sapphire crystals and jumbo crowns. Water resistance stands at 30m for the bronze and 100m for the steel.

Dial Differences That Matter

The steel version features a black lacquer dial with jumping hour and minute apertures at 9 o’clock, reminiscent of 1970s digital timepieces. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Bronze (only 100 pieces) takes a more refined route. Its aperture layout—hour, seconds, minutes—along with a compass-inspired center, creates a harmonious, vintage look that feels distinct.

Under the Hood

Though not in-house, both watches are powered by the exclusive BC634 automatic movement, likely developed with Sellita’s AMT. Offering a 56-hour power reserve, it’s a smart balance between quality and affordability.

Final Thoughts

Strip away the noise, and these watches feel like a genuine return to thoughtful design. The Bronze in particular is a standout, priced at $5,650 on bracelet. Could this be the beginning of a Bremont renaissance?
