Spring Arrives Early with TAG Heuer’s Pastel Carrera Date Watches

January 21st 2025

Among the high-octane, motorsports-inspired releases from TAG Heuer at LVMH Watch Week 2025, a pair of more refined and understated timepieces quietly made their debut. The newest additions to the TAG Heuer Carrera Date collection bring a fresh, pastel-infused charm to the lineup, signaling that spring is just around the corner.

A Subtle yet Stylish Refresh

Rather than introducing an entirely new model, TAG Heuer has opted for a dial refresh, presenting two new 36mm Carrera Date watches adorned in delicate pastel shades. These iterations build upon the already-popular Carrera Date series, which debuted in 2023, offering a softer aesthetic with diamond-studded elegance.

The first of the two models features a powdery pink dial with a sunray-brushed finish, while the second showcases a serene lilac dial with a snail-brushed texture. Despite their distinct colorways, both watches share the same fundamental design elements, ensuring continuity within the collection.

Diamond Accents and Functional Elegance

Each dial is set with 11 diamond hour indices, leaving space at 6 o’clock for a framed date window. A 60-minute/second scale on the flange enhances readability, while small lume markings ensure visibility in low-light conditions. The rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, coated with Super-LumiNova, contribute to effortless legibility, and the applied TAG Heuer shield logos subtly blend into the dial’s pastel hues.

Sleek Steel Case and Comfortable Fit

Encasing these soft-toned dials is a 36mm stainless steel case, combining brushed and polished finishes. The case, measuring 10.26mm thick and 41.60mm lug-to-lug, is topped with a beveled domed sapphire crystal and an unadorned polished steel bezel. With a water resistance of 50 meters, these timepieces offer practicality alongside their elegance. A polished H-shaped steel bracelet with a folding clasp ensures a secure and comfortable fit, even for smaller wrists.

Reliable Performance with Caliber 7 Movement

Like the rest of the Carrera Date 36mm collection, these latest models are powered by the Caliber 7 automatic movement. This upgraded movement, an improvement over the previous Caliber 5, boasts a 56-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance for daily wear.

A Charming Addition to the Carrera Date Lineup

While not groundbreaking in design, the 2025 TAG Heuer Carrera Date watches in powdery pink (ref. WBN231D.BA0001) and lilac (ref. WBN2319.BA0001) bring a refreshing touch to an already diverse collection. With these pastel hues, TAG Heuer offers new choices for those who appreciate softer, more playful tones in their everyday timepieces.

Both models are priced at CHF 4,250 and will be available for purchase in June 2025. For more details, visit TAG Heuer’s official website.
