The Monaco Chronograph Racing Green follows in the footsteps of last year’s Racing Blue edition, offering a similar design but swapping blue for a rich British racing green. Both models maintain the original Monaco layout, with the crown positioned on the 9 o’clock side, a nod to its vintage roots. The watch is limited to 1,000 pieces, making it a collector’s item. The green chronograph registers and yellow highlights on the dial make this new version a fresh yet familiar take on the beloved classic.
Titanium Construction and Vintage Aesthetics
Crafted from lightweight sandblasted grade 2 titanium, the watch measures 39mm in diameter and 14.35mm thick, with a lug-to-lug profile of 47.4mm. A box-shaped sapphire crystal sits above the bezel, while the back features a screw-on display caseback. Just like its predecessors, this model offers 100 meters of water resistance and uses angular pushers, adding a modern touch to the classic design.
Calibre 11 Movement: A Vintage Throwback
The Monaco Chronograph Racing Green is powered by TAG Heuer’s Calibre 11 automatic movement, a reliable choice based on the Sellita SW300-1 with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. Running at 28,800 vph with a 40-hour power reserve, this movement mimics the vintage Monaco’s signature left-crown layout. While functional, it may feel slightly dated compared to the in-house movements available today.
Stylish Strap and Limited Appeal
Fitted with a green calfskin leather strap featuring a perforated design, the watch’s strap has a bright yellow lining that complements the yellow accents on the dial. A titanium folding clasp, shaped like the vintage Heuer shield, completes the look.
