Hublot has unveiled a striking new limited-edition watch, the Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo. Inspired by the beauty of the American desert terrain, the watch features a black, beige, and gray camouflage pattern. It is also a testament to Hublot’s commitment to blending tradition and innovation, as it is only available for sale at the Hublot U.S. eBoutique.
Design and Features
The Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo watch sports a micro-blasted black ceramic tonneau-shaped case topped with a matte-beige frosted carbon bezel decorated with a camouflage pattern. The bezel is secured with H-shaped screws, and the satin-finished black-plated titanium crowns and chronograph pushers are enveloped in black rubber. The ergonomically designed 42mm case measures 14.1mm thick and is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet) deep.
The camo motif extends from the bezel to the skeletonized movement, which is visible via the open-worked dial. The dynamic dial is home to a trio of counters: a chronograph minutes counter at 3, a chronograph minutes counter at 6, and the small seconds indicator at 9 o’clock. Accompanying those are a date window at 4:30, a pair of skeletonized hour and minute hands at the center, and the central chronograph hand, complete with an H counterweight.
Movement
Driving this new ceramic, carbon, and camouflage Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang is the HUB4700 self-winding skeleton chronograph movement with 50 hours of power reserve. The high-frequency movement operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz).
Straps
Owners of the new Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo chronograph will be delighted to know that the piece comes with a pair of straps, which are easy to switch out thanks to Hublot’s innovative one-click interchangeable strap system. The first is a structured black and grey rubber strap that mimics the camouflage design of the case whereas the second is a sporty black Velcro fastener fabric strap. The former is fitted with a black ceramic and black titanium deployant buckle and the latter with a black ceramic sport buckle.
