The 39mm case features a broad, sloping upper surface and the Carrera’s signature inward-facing lug bevels, providing ample polished planes for dramatic flash. The use of yellow gold gives this familiar formula a bolder, more visually distinctive character.
The dial is equally striking, with a sharp, dynamic vertical brushing used for the gold main dial surface. TAG Heuer pairs this with a glittering grainy matte gold surface for the Carrera’s distinctive wave-shaped two-sided chapter ring, while the simple azurage on the raised black chronograph subdials helps to soften some of the dial’s visual intensity.
Powering the watch is TAG Heuer’s in-house TH20-00 automatic chronograph movement, which offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire display caseback, and features sharp finishing including Côtes de Genève for the bridges and a layered shield-motif skeleton rotor.
The watch is completed with a classic perforated rally strap in deep black calfskin.
