A New Chapter in the Escale Collection Earlier this year, Louis Vuitton refreshed its timeless Escale collection with new models crafted in precious metals. Known for its refined aesthetic, the Escale line stands apart from the sportier Tambour collection, offering a platform for both classic and complex designs. To close out the year, Louis Vuitton has unveiled the limited Escale W3PT21, a platinum timepiece featuring an exceptional dial that blends grand feu enamel and intricate guilloché.
Trunk-Inspired Design The Escale design pays tribute to Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks. The distinctive “rivet” lugs, inspired by trunk corner caps, add a signature touch. The platinum case’s mix of polished and brushed finishes keeps it elegantly versatile, while the octagonal crown reflects the trunks’ rivets. With dimensions of 39mm x 10.34mm and 50m water resistance, the Escale W3PT21 offers understated luxury.
Artistry in the Dial The dial, crafted by four artisans, is a true masterpiece. Beginning with a white gold base, hand-turned guilloché patterns are filled using the champlevé enameling technique, where cuts are filled with vivid blue enamel. A second flinqué layer adds a translucent finish, polished with diamond paste to achieve a mirror-like shine. Surrounding the dial are 18k white gold markers and riveted quarter markers for precision detailing.
Precision Meets Innovation Beneath the sapphire caseback lies the LFT023, an in-house automatic micro-rotor movement developed at La Fabrique du Temps. With its frosted bridges, polished anglage, and 22k rose gold rotor, the movement delivers a 50-hour power reserve and chronometer-certified precision.
A Collector’s Dream Limited to 50 pieces and priced at $68,000, the Escale W3PT21 is a stunning testament to Louis Vuitton’s artistry and craftsmanship, making it an exquisite addition to any watch collection.
