Hublot and Veuve Clicquot: A Perfect Corporate Partnership

Given that both Hublot and Veuve Clicquot are part of the LVMH family, their collaboration at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is a natural fit. Hublot, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, serves as the Official Timekeeper for the prestigious event, while Veuve Clicquot is one of the largest Champagne producers in the world, dating back to 1772. Known for its iconic Yellow Label (which is more golden-orange in hue), Veuve Clicquot’s Champagne is a staple at upscale markets worldwide.

Hublot’s Special Edition for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

In 2024, Hublot unveiled the Spirit of Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, a follow-up to the 2023 limited edition of the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon. This new release (ref. 642.QK.0110.LR.VCP24) features a tonneau-shaped case made from forged carbon with a matte finish, measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.1mm thick. Sapphire crystals cover both the bezel and the caseback, while the 100-meter water resistance ensures durability.

Design and Functionality

The watch’s design incorporates Veuve Clicquot’s signature color on the seconds hand and strap. Despite the bold color, the overall aesthetic is mostly monochromatic, with black and dark gray elements blending into the forged carbon case. Hublot’s iconic Cal. HUB4700 automatic chronograph movement powers the timepiece, based on the Zenith El Primero, offering a 50-hour power reserve.

Limited Edition Appeal

With only 30 pieces available, the Spirit of Big Bang Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is a highly exclusive offering. Priced at $33,600, it’s comparable to Hublot’s ceramic models and likely to attract collectors, event organizers, and brand enthusiasts. Though niche, this limited edition captures the spirit of both Hublot and Veuve Clicquot’s luxury craftsmanship.
