Gerald Charles Unveils Limited-Edition Maestro GC39 for 25th Anniversary

April 25th 2025

To mark its 25th anniversary, Gerald Charles introduced a bold and luxurious limited-edition timepiece at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025. The new Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition is a contemporary tribute to the rare 2005 GC39 model originally designed by Gérald Genta.

A Modern Spin on a Classic

This new edition doesn’t replicate the original but instead reimagines it with striking updates: a polished grade 5 titanium case, a larger 42mm diameter, and a sophisticated jumping-hours complication. Most notably, it features a lapis lazuli dial center surrounded by a dazzling meta-guilloché outer ring—an industry-first etching technique that mimics diamond sparkle through micro-chemistry rather than stones.

In-House Mechanics and Design

Inside is the Manufacture 4.0 Caliber—an automatic jumping-hours movement with 265 components and a 50-hour power reserve. Despite the power demands of the jumping-hour disc, the performance matches the brand’s standard calibers, thanks to clever engineering. Through the sapphire caseback, the movement reveals Geneva stripes, perlage finishes, and a gold honeycomb rotor bearing the 25th anniversary emblem.

Bold on the Wrist

This Maestro model retains the brand’s asymmetric Baroque-inspired case but now features a squarer profile. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and weighs just 96 grams, despite its size. A wide blue Clous de Paris rubber strap with a butterfly clasp completes its commanding look.

Limited Edition Prestige

Priced at $42,300 and limited to just 100 pieces, the GC39 25th Anniversary Edition is more exclusive than previous Maestro releases. Combining elegance, innovation, and a nod to its heritage, this timepiece is a fitting celebration of Gerald Charles’ legacy.
