A Legacy of Personal Design
Timex has announced the Giorgio Galli S2Ti as the final model in its acclaimed “S” collection, a series crafted by the brand’s Creative Director, Giorgio Galli. With over 30 years in watch design, Galli’s namesake collection reflects his personal tastes, blending Italian elegance with inspirations from travel, architecture, and photography. The S series, launched in 2019, marked the first time Galli’s name graced a Timex dial, offering enthusiasts a blend of premium materials and affordability.

From S1 to S2Ti: Evolution of a Vision
The journey began with the 2019 S1, featuring a 41mm case (later downsized to 38mm) and a signature ruby-set dial. Priced under $1,000, it introduced advanced materials at accessible costs. In 2023, the S2 upgraded to a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement and a titanium-steel hybrid case. Now, the limited-edition S2Ti (500 pieces) caps the series at $1,950, doubling the S2’s price but delivering unmatched refinement.
A Masterclass in Minimalist Design
The S2Ti’s gray titanium case and bracelet celebrate the metal’s natural hue, paired with a black carbon composite mid-section for contrast and weight reduction. Its 38mm case maximizes dial space, avoiding the “small watch” illusion. The matte gray dial, polished hands, and curved sapphire crystal create striking legibility and depth—proving simplicity is complex.
Innovation Meets Intuition
The S2Ti’s titanium bracelet features tool-free “I-Size” links for effortless resizing, while a discreet butterfly clasp maintains sleek aesthetics. A sapphire caseback reveals the decorated Sellita movement, underscoring its enthusiast-centric build. Despite its 12mm thickness, clever design tricks make it wear thinner.
Is the S2Ti Worth It?
While $1,950 is steep for a Timex, the S2Ti rivals higher-priced Swiss watches in materials, craftsmanship, and design. For collectors, its limited run and Galli’s personal touch justify the cost. As the “S” collection bows out, it leaves a legacy of accessible luxury—and a reminder that great design needs no compromise.
