Zenith and Felipe Pantone Unite Again for a Bold New Timepiece

August 27th 2024

For the fourth time since 2021, Zenith has collaborated with contemporary artist Felipe Pantone to create a stunning watch. This partnership began with the Defy 21 in 2021, followed by the unique Defy 21 Double Tourbillon for that year’s Only Watch charity event. In 2022, they unveiled the Defy Extreme Felipe Pantone, and now, in 2024, they introduce the Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon Felipe Pantone. This limited edition watch, restricted to just 100 pieces, showcases Pantone’s signature prism of colors.

A Distinctive Design with Thoughtful Details

The Defy Skyline Tourbillon Felipe Pantone maintains the iconic Defy silhouette, featuring a 41mm angular steel case with a 12-sided bezel. The case, alternating between satin-brushed and polished finishes, is water-resistant to 100 meters and is complemented by a star-decorated screw-in crown. Engraved on the case are the letters F, P, T, and 1, representing “Felipe Pantone Tourbillon #1,” a subtle reminder of its exclusivity.

The watch comes with a stainless steel integrated bracelet and an additional black rubber strap, both adorned with the Zenith star pattern, allowing for versatile styling options.

A Dial and Movement That Captivate

Pantone’s artistic influence shines through on the dial and movement of this watch. The iridescent dial, made from a sapphire crystal disk, features a micro-engraved concentric circle pattern radiating from the tourbillon aperture at 6 o’clock. This design echoes Pantone’s favorite moiré effect, reminiscent of optical illusions and retro Magic Eye posters.

The colorful applied hour markers and lightning bolt-shaped tourbillon bridge, along with the bent hands rendered in vibrant hues, add to the watch’s striking appearance. The back of the watch is equally captivating, with a five-point star-shaped oscillating weight finished in a metallic rainbow PVD coating.

A Watch for the Bold and Artistic

The Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon Felipe Pantone is a vibrant, artistic masterpiece that evokes a sense of 1990s nostalgia. Priced at $62,300 USD, this limited edition watch is perfect for fans of Zenith, Felipe Pantone, and tourbillons. Available starting September 12 at 14:00 CEST, it can be purchased online, at Zenith boutiques, and select retailers.
