Bell & Ross Unveils the BR-X5 Iridescent for 2024

Bell & Ross has expanded its “Urban” collection with the new BR-X5 Iridescent, a visually striking update to its popular BR-X5 series. Building on the BR-05 concept, the BR-X5 offers a more intricate case design and a high-performance Kenissi movement. The latest release stands out with its vibrant, color-changing dial, offering hues of blue, green, and purple, marking a departure from the collection’s traditionally serious aesthetic.

Design and Features

Crafted from stainless steel, the BR-X5 Iridescent measures 41mm in diameter and 12.8mm thick, retaining the multi-component structure found in the series. The dial, featuring an aviation-themed date window at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock, showcases a captivating iridescent finish. The hands and baton-shaped markers are filled with Super-LumiNova for readability, while the seconds hand is finished in matte white for contrast.

Movement and Functionality

Unlike its BR-05 counterparts, the BR-X5 series is powered by the Kenissi-based BR-CAL.323 automatic movement. This COSC-certified chronometer offers a 70-hour power reserve and runs at 28,800vph (4 Hz), providing superior performance and accuracy. The movement also features a custom skeletonized rotor, adding a distinct visual appeal.

Strap and Bracelet Options

The BR-X5 Iridescent is available with either a white rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The strap features a deployant clasp with a double push-button release, while the bracelet has a flat H-link design to match the case’s integrated lugs.

Pricing

Priced at $7,900 USD on a rubber strap and $8,400 USD with a bracelet, the BR-X5 Iridescent carries a $1,000 premium over standard models, with its unique color-changing dial as the key differentiator.
